Effective Juicing Recipes For Eczema

Eczema is an inflammatory skin condition, often seen in the form of red, dry, and itchy skin on the face, hands, elbows, wrists, and knees of the individual affected with this problem.

As problematic as this skin disease can be on its own, it makes additional problems because it may cause the skin to be prone to attacks from bacteria and viruses.

So how can you help your body fight this problem?

One option is to use nutrition from the right types of found, especially when it comes to controlling the flare ups of eczema. The advice is to make a conscious change of your diet, so that you can alleviate the most problematic symptoms of this condition.

In the second part of this article we will give some recipes for healthy juices that can help relieve the symptoms of eczema. But first, let us see what kind of change in diet is needed in order to strengthen your body to deal with this problem in a natural way.

Several Strategies For Fighting Eczema Naturally

This strategy is fairly simple: consume whole raw vegetables and some fruits, as well as a lot of high fiber ingredients, including green smoothies, juices, and clean water. Other than that, you may try certain essential oils, such as lavender oil, as well as herbs and herbal teas, such as echinacea.

Clean Water

To be sure that the water you are drinking doesn’t contain any harmful toxic components, drink clean purified or filtered water, or spring water.

Sugar Free Diet

When we say sugar free diet, we actually mean diet free from the entire range of refined foods. It is not enough to just refrain from eating sugar, cookies, cakes, etc. You need to include almost all refined foods from the supermarket, as they all contain lots of sugar in one form or another (either table sugar, or harmful fructose). You also need to include all sweetened beverages, even if they are sugar-free because they contain artificial sweeteners that are also bad for you. If you do that, you basically eliminate the root cause of eczema which is the weakening of the immunity of your body.

Grain Free Diet

Grains, even the integral ones and their products (such as pasta, pizza, bread, etc.), are quickly turned into sugar upon consuming them. Hence, the rest is similar to the point above. So, avoid them as much as you can.

Alkaline Foods

One of the reasons for eczema is when the pH balance of the body is disturbed toward the acidic side. When your body has accumulated too much acids from acidic foods or your diet is low in alkaline, all this can cause eczema flares. A rule of the thumb for people who suffer from eczema is to take 80 percent of their food from alkaline source, versus 20 percent of acidic food.

So what are the best alkaline foods? The best alkaline foods include many types of vegetables and fruits. Green smoothies are also a great choice. Make sure you have included some of these alkaline drinks as well.

Less Meat and Dairy

Replace low quality meat and dairy with fish. Ham, sausages, and flavored meat is higher in nitrates, which may worsen the symptoms of eczema. If you want to use meat, use organic, high quality pastured meat, where no nitrates are added, and no antibiotics are used. Also, seafood and fresh fish is a great replacement.

Probiotics

Probiotics (the good bacteria in your guts) are the first line of defense of your immune system. Do everything you can to feed them the right foods (called prebiotcs), and they will help you keep inflammation at bay, and fight allergens.

Krill Oil

If you have eczema, it may be that  your body is deficient in omega 3 fatty acids. Krill oil is one of the best natural forms of omega 3 that can help you reduce the symtpoms of eczema, including redness, dryness, and irritation. In addition, omega 3 is anti-inflammatory, and will calm the skin irritated by this condition.

Oolong Tea

Despite the weird name, Oolong tea is very similar to green or black tea. Belonging to the same plant species, Oolong tea is made by partial fermentation, whereas green tea is not fermented and black tea is fully fermented. Oolong tea seems to have strong potential in treating eczema.

Less Food Allergens

There is a strong  correlation between food allergens and the onset of eczema. Opt in for foods than don’t contain allergens. These hypoallergenic foods are least likely to trigger allergies when consumed. They include veggies like cucumbers, kale, lettuce, celery, beets, turnips, squash, carrots, Brussels sprouts, zucchini, etc.  Some fruits are also great, such as blueberries, apples, pears, apricots, and bananas. Avoid foods like dairy, wheat, coy, corn, eggs, and peanuts. You may also consider going on a gluten free diet.

How May Juicing Help?

Juicing can help by using the essence of raw fruits and vegetables to eliminate toxins from your body. In addition, smoothies are high fiber drinks, which is also beneficial.

Juice fasting is also a great option because this condition may be a result of accumulation of toxins in the body. This waste contributes by enhancing cellular inflammation and promoting the outbreak of eczema. Juice fasting of at least several days can help cleanse your lymphatic system. This, in turn, can be an important step for healing eczema.

The liver is another important organ for toxins elimination. So, it makes sense to perform liver detox in addition to juice fasting. Either the former or the latter detox, or their combination could improve or eliminate the symptoms of  eczema.
